Why use a pedimeter?

You need to know your exact foot size to perfectly match your orthopedic insoles with your shoes. Smartfeet can help you with an adult footmeter that will give you the length of your foot in cm. For smaller feet, we recommend downloading the children's foot gauge. You'll find the associated sizes in our size guide below.

How to use the pedimeter and measure your foot size?

1) Download the pedimeter online (pdf)

2) Print it in 100% size

3) Fold the sheet of paper at right angles to the dotted lines. Place it against a wall.

4) Stand and place your foot on the sheet with the heel against the wall.

5) Measure the distance from the heel to the longest toe. Then draw a pencil line at the end of the big toe.

6) All that's left is to read the pedometer to find your shoe size. Tip: we recommend that you go one size up, as most of our insoles can be cut to fit you perfectly.

How do I print and download my pedimeter?

- To download our adult pedimeter, simply click on : Free printable pedometer

- For children and baby sizes click HERE When printing, it is important to print the PDF at 100% size to maintain the correct scale.

- If you don't have a printer, you can follow this tutorial to measure your foot size yourself

Find orthopedic insoles to fit your child's feet

Orthotics are recommended from the age of 5. At this age, the skeleton is still flexible enough to quickly correct plantar problems. It's quite difficult to spot this type of problem in children, but you can check whether the wear of the shoe appears only on the inner or outer side. If this is the case, your child may be pronator or supinator. If you have the slightest doubt, we recommend that you take your child to a pediatrician or podiatrist for a concrete diagnosis of the pathology encountered.
